GET TO KNOW ME

My name is Lina and I’m a game and level designer currently living in Stockholm. Ever since my father introduced me to Quake III Arena and Worms Armageddon, I have immersed myself in hundreds of magical worlds that have changed my life. It’s now time for me to create and share the same happiness I have engaged with throughout my whole life. I’m currently looking for my next adventure!

My passion for level design evoked when I started creating houses in The Sims at a young age. I have always been interested in architecture, design and art, interests which have taught me to create spaces with my own personal touch. I always try to create spaces that communicate through environmental storytelling. My intention is to always highlight and elevate the core mechanics, and I constantly strive for developing a consistent visual language throughout my levels to clearly guide the player.

I am a person who accepts any challenge, who puts a lot of value in learning from every good and bad experience. I bring a cheerful attitude to any workplace, and believe in constant encouragement towards fellow teammates.

"I worked with Lina at Embark Studios, during her internship as a Level Designer following her education at Futuregames. From the moment we first met Lina her passion for games and high level of professionalism was obvious, and along with a strong portfolio it was an easy choice for us to take her on as an intern. During her time at the studio, Lina has worked as a Level Designer for our multiplayer FPS title, creating designs and block-outs for one of our levels, as well as looking at how we use certain mechanics in our levels. This is particularly challenging work for a junior developer, as the game includes several innovative and complex mechanics that challenge some of the more conventional level design principles, but Lina took this in her stride, was happy to take on the challenge, and produced a good standard of work. Throughout her time at the studio, Lina has been incredibly keen to learn and develop her skills, which has made her very easy to mentor as she is always receptive to advice, feedback and suggestions. Lina is also a fantastic team-player. She brings a positive approach to work every day and thrives on working with others, which made her a fantastic fit for our team and our studio culture. Overall, working with Lina has been a great experience and I’d love to work with her again in future."
